I had my taxes done there and was charged nearly $300. Whatever I paid it. About a year later I get a notice from the IRS saying that due to an accounting error i owed almost $1,000. It made no sense, I always got a refund and had no reason to owe money. I called the IRS and they said it was due to an error when my taxes were prepared. I contacted Zack, the account who prepared my taxes and he ignored my emails and just left me hanging. I even sent a copy of the notice in an email. Still nothing. So in general, this is a great place to go if you just want to be overcharged and then have the IRS come after you for mistakes your CPA made.

DO NOT USE THEM. After using them for years I was told by the IRS that I owed $30,000 to the feds which I paid off only to find out that my 2013 taxes to the state I owed about $700 which turned into $1400 after penalties and late fees which I did not know as I moved out of New Mexico. I sent them a letter asking to pay this as it was on their watch and their fault and got no response. The BBB will be involved

Zach Howell has gone above and beyond expectations to help us with some complicated tax issues, including getting a refund from a recalcitrant NM tax office and organizing our returns to minimize our tax burden. These folks provide detailed returns for state and federal taxes, pre-addressed envelopes for mailing the returns, and completed forms for submitting quarterly estimated taxes. Great friendly service at a very reasonable rate. You will not be disappointed with Accounting Concepts!

I called these people up and asked if they did services for individuals and explained that I was disabled and would need someone to come to the house. I was told no problem and that they had the perfect person that would call me back in about 10 minutes. I called on a Friday so I gave them a whole extra day (Monday). Nothing at all. My review? Not professional. If they did not want an individual customer, they should have the gut to say so and not leave a person hanging or at least have the courtesy to let me know that they do not cater to disabled people by coming to their home but to leave a person hanging? This is not the first time this has happened. Seems that no CPA wants an individual with a disability that stops them from going out as a customer. Albuquerque seems to be short of real professionals these days

Ms. Klein phoned Accounting Concepts in search of accounting services. We did return her call and talked with her at length about her accounting needs. During our discussion we determined that her needs were not in our area of expertise and explained that we would be unable to help her. It is our opinion that Ms. Klein made several calls to accounting firms and has confused our firm with another. We wish her the best. The staff of Accounting Concepts, Inc.
