I "receive" aetna health insurance from my employer. They are the king of surprise billing. I would be better off on welfare

If you want to show your employees how little you actually care about them and their families, give them an Aetna managed health plan. Aetna is incapable of performing the simplest functions with medical insurance processing. They will let you down at every opportunity ad purposely try to trick you into paying claims which they should be covering. I would rather not have health insurance than have to deal with their incapable staff and unethical administration. PLEASEE LEAVE ALASKA.

Aetna is not capable of letting customers know if a simple procedure is covered ahead of time. I called ahead of time to verify that the procudure would be covered and the Aetna representative found Aetna documentation that explained that the procedure was covered. Performed the procedure and Aetna denied the claim.
