They prey on UofM students - STAY AWAY! I had a false charge which put my account in the negative - they ended up charging me an overage fee for EACH transaction afterward amounting to hundreds of dollars. It was a couple days before I noticed the false charge and all of the overage charges. The bank was only willing to take off the disputed (false) charge - and NONE of the overage fees. I explained that I ONLY incurred the overage fees because of the false charge. They refused to remove the overage fees - even after speaking to a manager. This policy was within the pages of fine print in rules for their "student account" program. I ended up writing them a check (to cover the negative balance) from my other bank and closed my TCF account on the spot. Terrible service! Use a federal credit union instead!
