To whom it may concernI am pleased to write this review of the work that Harold Goedde, did for us. He has a wealth of knowledge in tax preparation, tax planning, and accounting. He prepared our 2018 federal and state Individual tax returns. Within two days after meeting with him he had our tax returns ready for review and efiled them. We also requested advice on tax and financial planning. We are pleased that we did so because he offered valuable tax savings ideas.A month after the returns, including an installment payment agreement, were efiled, we received a notice from the IRS indicating we did not pay the amount owed and they assessed penalties and interest. The next day he contacted the IRS and the agent told him they received the installment payment agreement, but for some reason it was not processed. He prepared another installment payment agreement and we sent it to the IRS and they are now deducting the payments from our checking account. He also completed and we filed Form 843 requesting that the penalties and interest be abated because it was not our fault the installment payment agreement was not processed. We have not heard from the IRS regarding the penalty and interest abatement request, so he wrote a follow-up letter.He also reviewed our 2017 and 2016 returns and found that the preparer erroneously deducted Medicare and FICA taxes withheld from my salary on the federal and state returns. Dr. Goedde prepared corrected returns and found that the federal and state taxable income and tax liability was substantially understated and recommended that we file amended returns.We are extremely pleased with the quality, timeliness, reliability, and accuracy of his work.
