This year will be the 3rd year that we have used this company. It wasn’t a good experience this year for our 2018 tax return.First, I was under the impression that the gentlemen that I spoke with was the one looking at and completing my taxes, but they were handed off to someone else (would’ve been nice to know that.)Second, they had my taxes for over 4 weeks. I called to inquire about them and they said “they were waiting on something from the government.” I still don’t know what they were waiting on. However the next day, not even 24 hours, I receive a call and they tell me they are ready.Third, I was needing a copy of a previous tax return. I was just wanting an email, but receiving an email or a hard copy cost you $25. To me that’s a bit high, and others might charge the same.Fourth, I’ve never minded the fee ($361 last year) that I was charged because they always seemed to do a good job and I was satisfied with them. However this year, due to new tax laws, they are raising the fee 25-40%. So we’d be paying around $451-$505 this year.Fifth, when I called to talk with the secretary, the main guy over the company answered the phone. I asked him “could he have my tax papers at the counter for me so I could pick them up.” I told him that I wasn’t wanting the return or the prep, because I was going somewhere else. He got very upset and said, “so you make us do all this work for nothing.” I was going to explain my problems but he didn’t give me the time of day. He proceeded to say, “never come here again!” He asked for my last name and then he hung up on me.
