Very bad business practice, I called to make a small change on my claim, the agent said he would work on it and would call me the next day... He didn't. I called back the following week to "remind" him and he apologized that it had "slipped" his mind, he promised to work on my claim that day and would call me within the next couple of days. He didn't call me back, I called him again to remind him and it had slipped his mind again. I asked his secretary that I needed to cancel my policy and she replied with "You need to stop by the office to fill up the form". First of all, I live 30 minutes away from his office, and second of all, I never opened my account with that agent, I was just assigned by Farmers insurance to him without my consent. I told her to email me the form and I would email it back. She said that there was a queue in front of me and that it would take a little longer than that. I hung up.I called the 1 800 number on Farmers website and the customer rep sent me an email to cancel my policy and was done in less than 5 minutes.Stay away from this agent and his bad practice.
