Favorite and best place to bank! My family has been members since 1996 and the staff and management have been the most helpful, respectful and kind that goes for each and every location that business has been transacted at: main office, phone, Kennesaw, Woodstock and my favorites at the Canton branch. They have been the easiest to work with and have canned several other financial institutions along the way! But LGE has earned my business!
This experience has been a royal waste of my time. I opened a business account for my insurance consulting company. When I opened my account, my first check deposited was an insurance draft payable to and properly endorsed by our company and our client. I was informed that such checks may incur a hold, which is reasonable and expected to ensure the paying bank honors the check. Today, I deposited another check made out to our company and our client, and properly endorsed. The deposit was accepted and I went about my day. I received a call, and was informed they would not be accepting the check because the other payees were not account holders. I asked if a manager could help me, because a properly endorsed check is a legally payable financial instrument. She rudely informed me that it would just come back to her and she would deny the deposit. This individual clearly has no understanding of financial instruments and how endorsements work. I informed her that due to the volume of our checks that have multiple payees, if they can’t figure out how to deposit a properly endorsed check, then my only option would be to close my account. I am trying to run a business, and screened potential financial institutions carefully, as we are a high volume account. A week of my company’s life (no small loss in the fast paced world of business) down the drain. Fire this lady and hire somebody who understands financial instruments and how they may be legally endorsed, because I am genuinely sad our relationship must come to an end.
