I helped the owner, Sylvia Escobedo, and the account manager, Elaine, move several hundred of their private records to a community disposal site. These records held information such as investment accounts, insurance policies, social security numbers, birth dates, etc. I was in no way employed by the company, but I had a truck and they asked me if I would deliver over 10 boxes of files to the disposal site. I should not have participated as it was probably a blatent violation of the privacy act. I would not trust this company with anything private. A proper company would pay for a disposal company to come to the office and collect the files in a secure vehicle. Not only is this cheap, but it takes advantage of a community program not meant for companies and limits that service available to individuals in the community.
