This organization represents Mexican Hospitals in collecting funds for patients hospitalized during a trip in Mexico. I have been hospitalized at the the Blue Medical Net in Cabo San Lucas Mexico on 11/19/13, because of a concussion, which required admission to the ER, a CT scan of the brain, a 7 suture of the scalp and observation for several hours with discharge on the same day.I had requested my medical record and copy of the billing from the hospital and i was told that I COULD NOT GET MY OWN MEDICAL RECORD BECAUSE IT WAS CONFIDENTIAL AND THAT ONLY MY INSURANCE COULD GIVE IT TO ME.The charges covered 11/19 and 11/20/2013. I received no services on 11/20 since I had been discharged in the late afternoon of evening of 11/19. They initially charged me Mexican $ 30,000.00 on a credit card and then proceeded to charge my Part B of Medicare supplement and a catastrophic insurance I have in excess of 13,436.00. They collected 13.602 room the insurance. No refund has been made on my initial deposit on credit cards.Today when I contacted them to dispute the charges for 11/20/13, they told me that if I had been in the hospital less than 12 hours, I was responsible for all the expenses , because my insurance would cover nothing below 12 hours.I verified with my insurance, who confirmed that they would cover the expenses for whatever period of time below sixty days abroad.So in addition to misrepresenting charges, they even have the courage to lie and say that they will refund the legitimate money to my insurance and threaten me with charging me for the entire amount. Does this make sense?This organization is not assessed by the BBB in El Paso.Public beware of these scamming groups.The medical services in Mexico were OK, but the charges are outrageous even by US standards.
