As a dentist who has dealt with Altus in the past 20 years, Altus dental is a great insurance which only care of its bottom line. Most claims submitted are conveniently “not received”, delayed because they simply decide to magically loose the xray you sent them, etc. If you are out of network for them, checks are sent directly to the patients. Patients pay a premium which Increases every year while the insurance max is stuck at $1200. A message to the CEO of Altus: you are doing a great job stealing your customers.

I lost my card and the receptionist was very helpful and had someone give me a call back within the hour and because I was in my appointment I couldn’t answer and they called me back again to doublecheck that I was all set
