First of all, let me say that Barb (Joe’s assistant) is an extremely amazing person. She has ALWAYS been friendly towards me, I really wish that she was an insurance agent because I would give her my lifelong business. On the other hand, Joe is horrible. He is very rude and frequently acts like I am a major inconvenience that he wishes would go away. There have been many instances where he acted in a manner unacceptable for an insurance agent. I will explain two instances that come to mind first.First, I was pulled over for a traffic infraction, and did not have proof of current insurance with me. The coverage was active, I just didn’t have it in my car. I was written a ticket for it and asked to provide proof that I had coverage at the time of the ticket and the charge would be dropped. I go to see Joe to ask for that proof. He huffs and puffs and acts like I asked him a ridiculous question, he acts like it is a major inconvenience that will take him all day to do. Five minutes later I walk out the door with proof in hand. I don’t understand what the big deal was. This was my first ticket. I will regularly go 6-12 months without ever having to even talk to them (I am not a problem customer coming in every other day). The very rare times in which I need him, he acts like this which makes me feel taken for granted.Second, I was involved in a minor accident one weekday morning. I call their office and got a hold of Barb. She said that Joe is out of the office on family business, no problem, that is a more than acceptable reason to miss work. She says he will be back in 30 minutes and will call me right when he gets in. Half a day later, I have not received a call so I call them. Guess who picks up? Joe! I have had a couple other events like this, he is too busy to take my call and ignores me when I need him most.There are many insurance agents out there, go with someone that will treat you like a customer, avoid those that are too special to be bothered with you. I knew that he acts this way, but stayed with him because that is who my family uses. They have major accounts with him and give him many thousands of dollars every year. He treats them like valued customers, and calls them back. This man only responds to the all mighty dollar, avoid his business at all costs!

DO NOT USE THIS AGENT FOR ANY TYPE OF INSURANCE WITH AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE!!!!!!! His office help (Barbara Cozad) and Heather were very rude and bad-mannered on the phone with me. Barbara did not want to do business with me on the phone and lied why she could not. Found out it was a huge lie when I talked to another American Family agent in Westminster, Colorado. She made up a lie that she would not be able to cover me for car insurance and it needed to go to the Underwriter for approval!!! Went to another American Family Insurance office in Westminster after talking to Barbara and they had me setup over the phone with car insurance in 15 minutes and was happy to take my payment. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just love the staff these ladies are just amazing at what they do heather has gotten me an amazing deal and a low low payment even with me being 20 and having full coverage joe and barb are also a very nice they will take care of you whenever you need it
