First, I would like to start by saying I usually have a good experience with this branch and aside from the call center, I have had an overall good experience with Santander. However, today when I went to this branch things were completely different. First, I walked into a bank with no customers and three tellers at the counter. I waited and got called up by a manager. I was attempting to deposit a life insurance check from a relative who passed away. The manager did not read the part of the check with my name, instead only reading the name of the person who had been insured. She then proceeded to tell me I would have to go to probate court because the insured person was not on my account. The check was made out to me by the life insurance company and when I pointed this out to the MANAGER she did not apologize she just finally did her job. She never said hello or have a nice day (even though I did) and did not make eye contact once. I understand everyone has a bad day now and then but how are you gonna be a manager who can’t even read a check?
